BASE Annual Meeting 2026

The Annual Meeting for Batteries Sweden (BASE) was held in Stockholm at RISE, Innoversum, 21 – 22 of January 2026.

Day 1 was an opportunity for Early Career Researchers to meet and we held a workshop focusing on Communication, a theme that also continued in plenum with a workshop during lunch Day 2.

Key Note presentation was held by Ivana Hasa From materials to cells: unlocking energy density for sodium-ion batteries. Further, presentations of strategic battery initiatives were held by Patrik Johansson, Director of Battery 2030+, Karolina Junka, Vinnova, Gabriel Granström, Swedish Energy agency, and Johan Ek Weiss, presenting the roadmap for Advanced Material. Before lunch we had a General Assembly meeting.

Compular as a new partner presented their research as well as three research presentations from P7 Carbon Materials with Monalisa Chakraborty and Habtom Desta Asfaw, P2 Recycling and Hydrometallurgy by Martina Petranikova and P3 Modeling by Artem Kulanchenko and Maciej Wysocki.
