BASE Annual Meeting 2025

BASE annual meeting was held in Gothenburg at Chalmers, April 3-4. The two-day event was full of insightful presentations and discussions on battery research.

The event started with an update of the market 2025 and facilitated by Keynote Bo Normark, EIT InnoEnergy. Together with Keynote Filip Johnsson, Chalmers there was a discussion in plenum about Challenges for the European Battery industry – a Swedish perspective.

This introduction followed by a keynote Sophie Solchenbach, BMW Group, Munich, Germany: on Electrolyte motion induced salt inhomogeneity – a novel aging mechanism in large-format lithium-ion cells.

General assembly was also held with all partners. Day 2 was a workshop to form the project by also engaging industrial partners to give input and form the final project portfolio.
