Welcome to a seminar on Characterizing Thermal Runaway of Lithium-ion Cells and Modules and Mitigating its Propagation in conjunction to Ola Willstrands PhD Defense.
Judy Jeevarajan, Ph.D., is VP and executive director of the Electrochemical Safety Research Institute (ESRI) at UL Research Institutes. She has worked in the field of batteries for more than 25 years, with a primary focus on lithium-ion chemistry. Active in standards working groups and committee, and serves as a member of the Informal Working Group and Dangerous Goods Panel under the United Nations. Before that she worked for NASA at Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston for 12 years, serving as group lead for Battery Safety and Advanced Technology.
