16. Cross-cutting: Education & training
This educational activity project – one of the cross-cutting activities within BASE – aim at providing staff at different BASE partners, both industrial and academic, with relevant educational activities. These are provided on-demand and by-availability of the partners, but outside of the conventional course curricula of the academic partners. The activities also include supervision and networking, thereby providing additional interaction possibilities between industry and academia. Educational activities comprise both shorter courses given either on-line or on-site, and longer courses (e.g. summer courses), primarily targeting PhD students in the field. Industrial mentoring and co-supervision of academic PhD students is also a vital part; as is PhD student and post-doc networking within BASE.
