Celsius-Linnaeus lectures: Jürgen Janek Electrochemical Energy Storage beyond Lithium-Ion Batteries

Date: 15 February
Time: 09:00-16:15 hrs
Place: Sonja Lyttkens, House 10, Ångström Laboratory

The Linnaeus lecturer is Professor Jürgen Janek who is a full professor for Physical Chemistry at Justus Liebig University in Giessen (JLU), Germany, director of the JLU Center for Materials Research, and Scientific Director of the BELLA lab at KIT, Karlsruhe. His research interests focus on the physical chemistry of inorganic solids, solid state ionics and reactivity. In recent years his research is focused strongly on the chemistry of battery materials, solid electrolytes and solid-state batteries and operando studies of batteries.

The Linneaus lecture is followed by lectures given by Professor Rakel Wreland-Lindström, KTH, and Assistant Professor Guiomar Hernández, Structural Chemistry. The session ends with a panel discussion with all three lecturers moderated by Professor Daniel Brandell, Structural Chemistry.
